********************************************************** ********************************************************** QUALITY, RULES & WANTS My ratings give video quality first and audio quality second (eg. A-/B+). Basically "A" is as good as it gets. "B" is reasonably good with flaws. "C" is fuzzy but still watchable. "D" is pretty rough. Here are the details: VIDEO QUALITY A: EXCELLENT, low generation copy, nearly flawless picture, sharp colours, bright lighting B: GOOD, bright to moderate colours but some lighting problems or dubbing image defects C: FAIR, but more defects, colour loss, colour smearing, fuzzy or blurry picture D: SHITTY, video noise, tracking problems, loss of detail, mainly for die-hard fans AUDIO QUALITY A: EXCELLENT, crisp, full sound B: GOOD, but more muffled sound, some distortion, low vocals or other problems C: FAIR, but distortion or other problems more annoying and persistent D: SHITTY, difficult to listen to GENERATION refers to how far away my copy is from the original or master tape. The master is something I filmed with my camera, something I taped off the TV or a publicly released tape I own myself. PRO refers to professional video productions. 2CAM means two camera angles were edited on amateur, home equipment. M: Master tape lx: Copy made from master 2x: Copy made from 1st gen tape 3x: Copy of 2nd gen, etc. TRADING None of the shows below are for sale. They are strictly for trading. I will trade my RARE shows only for equally rare shows. There is some flexibility here, but rare to me is generally anything before 1992 and that's not listed on more than two or three trading lists. Please respect this rule. I also ask that we follow these 4 golden rules: ****MaxellGold/TDK-EHG*****SP Speed*****HiFi Stereo*****Air Mail***** LET ME KNOW IF ANY ONE OF THESE 4 THINGS CAN'T BE DONE. Also, warn me when the sound is DISTORTED or the video is too DARK or has NO ZOOMS. No zooms close to the stage is okay but no zooms from far away is no good (makes for very boring, security camera-type viewing). ***Maximum of 10 items per tape unless I request more than that from you. I do not accept DVD-Rs or VCDs.*** All the good traders out there can ignore this next bit: If it takes 5 to 8 weeks for me to get my tape you'll be put on my SLOW TRADER list. If it takes more than 8 weeks you'll be put on the BAD TRADER list. You don't wanna get on either list. I have nothing to do on my midnight shift at work but to surf the net and check out other traders' sites. I've traded or bought tapes from over 170 people and have saved everyone's email address. If you rip me off, your name WILL get around -- 100 percent guaranteed. VIDEO WANT LIST 1. 70s-80s Canadian punk: Asexuals, DejaVooDoo, Demics, Nils, Slow, 39 Steps,Viletones 2. 1975-85 punk: Anti-Nowhere League, Business, Crass, Impatient Youth, 70's ska: Selecter, Bad Manners 3. Whatever: Au Pairs, Bongos, Comsat Angels, Lyres, Mekons, Plimsouls, Shakin' Pyrmids 4. 90's low gen: Deadbolt, Godspeed...Emperor, Inbreds, Jet Boys, Manic Hispanics, URBNDK I can record and play in any format, NTSC/PAL/SECAM using a multisystem Hi-Fi stereo VCR. The VCR uses a digital converter to produce video quality matching that of the source material. If you want me to convert any tapes for you, the cost is $5/hr including postage and a Maxell Silver tape ($6/hr for Maxell Gold). If you want your original PAL tape(s) returned, postage will be extra. Credit will be given for any shows I add to my list. For instance, if you send 5hr and I want 2hr for myself, I'll charge 5 - 2 = 3hr x $5/hr = $15 postage paid and tape included. I can also record and play S-VHS and Digital-8 but in NTSC format only. I would prefer to trade in these formats if you can yourself. I have already started to convert some of my collection to the Digital-8 format. These are indicated by an * in front of the show's date.
